Employment Application for Technology Project Manager

Job Summary

The Technology Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for planning and supervising the installation of basic and advanced audio, visual, network, and control systems. The position requires an strong knowledge of advanced audio video systems, corporate networking, and residential/commercial control systems. The TPM supervises the planning and installation of projects to ensure projects fall within budget, work correctly and reliably, and provide optimal customer satisfaction. The position requires creative problem solving skills, excellent customer service ability, and the ability to use power tools and lift up to 75 lbs. Frequently unsupervised, the Technology Project Manager is expected to be on-time to jobs, be knowledgeable, polite, and have meticulous attention to detail in their work.

The following list is a general guidelines and the Technology Project Manager is expected to carry out other duties as assigned.

Ability to use hand and power tools

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Ability to use a ladder

Excellent communication skills and a functional ability to communicate in the English language

Develop an understanding of product offerings and be capable of suggesting solutions for customers

Have the ability to quickly and effectively problem solve and critically think when issues arise during an installation

Work well autonomously and as part of a team

Have a strong work ethic, meticulous in work, and pay attention to details

Job Qualifications

Personal vehicle with $500,000 vehicle insurance policy

Valid, unrestricted, driver’s license

18 years of age and a US citizen

Smartphone with data plan

Under 250lbs body weight

Certification for ELAN Home Automation System

Certification for Lutron or Vantage Lighting Systems

Acquire CEDIA ESC-T, ESC-D, ESC-N certifications within 1 year of hire

Opportunities for Advancement
Technology Manager, Level 2, may complete training and certifications to progress to a Technology Project Manager position if available
